Project Brief

We worked with the RCN Foundation, the independent charitable arm of the Royal College of Nursing, to create an animation raising awareness of the grants and financial support available to nursing, midwifery, and healthcare professionals across the UK.

The RCN Foundation offers hardship grants, education and career development grants, and research grants, supporting frontline staff with everything from urgent financial difficulties to specialist training and clinical research funding.

Our Approach

Grant information can often feel complex and difficult to navigate, especially for busy healthcare professionals. Our focus was on delivering the main message, clearly raising awareness of the RCN Foundation and making the support feel accessible and relevant to the people who need it most.

We used character-based animation to bring real-life situations to life, showing relatable scenarios that reflect the genuine experiences of nursing and healthcare professionals.

Our artist, Alexandra, carefully crafted each character to feel warm, human, and connected by drawing on a mixed watercolour-based and soft animation style that gives the film a gentle, emotive quality that resonates with the audience on a personal level.

Working closely with the RCN Foundation team throughout, we ensured the animation stayed true to their vision while bringing our own creativity to the project.
