RCGP: Empowering Women - Women’s Health in General Practice

Project background

The RCGP asked us to create an animation that they could use to inspire and empower women and GPs to feel more comfortable in discussing and reporting symptoms and issues to do with menstruation – particularly in the time of COVID-19 when face-to-face meetings between women and their GPs became rarer.

This was in response to several government reports showing that women were receiving inadequate care in this area and that things weren’t changing very quickly.

Using animation, we were able to tell personal stories based on real-life accounts of women who suffered from endometriosis and an ill-equipped system to provide the kind of care they needed without endangering their anonymity.

Visit the Women's Health toolkit on the RCGP website for more information.
