Greater Manchester Liaison Mental Health
Our history
As specialists in health and social care, we have created several creative animations about Liaison Mental Health. Over the years, we’ve got to know the subject well.
We’ve watched it grow from a fringe idea to something much more mainstream and widely available. It’s nice to think that our little films helped in some small way to make this journey possible.
Greater Manchester Liaison Mental Health recently received an increase in funding due to the rising evidence showing their success. CC Animation Studio was the natural choice to help them create a vibrant and engaging recruitment film providing an honest and inspiring picture of life as a Liaison Mental Health practitioner in Manchester.
How we made this explainer animation
To make this film work, we took the stories of real people working in Liaison Mental Health. Each story was sourced from real people working in Manchester, edited by our team, and then read by their original authors.
Because Liasion Mental Health bridges the perceived gap between mental and physical help, we liked the idea of using photographs and drawn images together to bridge the gap between the mind and the physical world.
To root the film in place, we also included some very Manchester-specific imagery and phrases and used GP, Manchester legend and former TV Gladiator, Dr Zoe Williams, as the main voiceover.

Testimonial
“The team were incredibly patient as we had to delay this project for a long time due to COVID-19. They didn’t charge us anything extra or pressure us into making quick decisions. As a result of this calm and enjoyable process, we have created a film about what we do that we are truly proud of. We look forward to being able to work with Creative Connection Animation Studio again in the future.”
