Digital whiteboard animation

We wanted to create something with a human touch to try and help bring the information to life. However, we had a limited amount of time to create the film and a very solid deadline.

To solve this problem, the amazing artist Tom Stephens created an update on traditional whiteboard animation. To do this, he printed out digital characters, cutting them out and placing them in front of the camera rather than live drawing every image.

We used computer animation to make this a little bit more exciting to watch, and the result is something that is the best of both worlds.

The film displays the clean lines and clarity of a purely digital animation with the human connective power and natural sense of wonder of seeing a genuine craft project unfold before your eyes.

Testimonial

“We gave you the very complicated task of explaining how two hospitals were going to merge and what the new operating model was going to be. Not only did you completely understand what we needed, but you also made it interesting and engaging to watch. We were really impressed, and the finished film has had great feedback.

Thank you so much for all your work on our animation. It is a fantastic piece of work done to a very tight timeline; you guys are a thoroughly professional outfit – right from scripting to animation to the voiceover and project management. Thanks once again!”
