We worked with Home-Start UK to create a charity explainer animation for their Building the Foundations project. Home-Start UK is a leading community network of trained volunteers and experts who help families with young children navigate challenging times.

Aims of the animation

This charity explainer animation simplifies information so it’s easy to remember, and also delivers the charity’s message clearly to a wide audience. It covers what Home-Start does, what kind of support they offer to families, why that support is so important, and the way they deliver it.

Our approach

With so much important information to communicate, our focus was on creating a smooth and thoughtful translation of Home-Start's message by weaving together multiple themes without overwhelming the viewer. Our explainer video guides the audience naturally from one idea to the next, keeping it clear, warm, and engaging throughout.

Our artist, Jo, brought the story to life with great care, making considered choices around colour and continuous line animation, creating a visual style that feels as warm and supportive as the charity it represents.

The seamless transitions between scenes were carefully crafted and ensuring the flow of information felt natural and effortless from start to finish.
