Why music exams matter!

ABRSM believe music is for everyone, which is why their exams are designed to be accessible and inclusive.

ABRSM assess a whole range of different skills and has pioneered the use of digital exams – these can be taken wherever and whenever you want, offering more freedom and choice. They asked us to create a creative doodle animation for them that would show:

• how exams can be a useful part of any musician’s journey,

• how they provided small achievable goals to focus on,

• the valuable feedback, recognition and affirmation that musicians need in order to thrive!

The artist

We chose established fine artist Sam for this project. He has a wonderfully frenetic mind that seems to be able to bring information to life in a way that makes a simple explainer animation into something so much more than that.
